fooks.co.il is operated by Fooks Media ("the site", "we"), Nahum Het 5, Haifa. We respect visitors' privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information given to us, in accordance with Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 and its regulations, and — for visitors in the EU — the GDPR.

This policy explains what the site collects, what we use it for, and what rights you have over it. Using the site means accepting this policy.

What we collect

What you send us: when you submit the contact form, email us or call, we keep what you provided — name, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry. It is used solely to answer you and to manage our business relationship.

Technical data: as on most sites, the hosting servers and the CDN (Cloudflare) record basic technical information in server logs — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and access times — for security, monitoring and normal operation.

Usage measurement: aggregated page-view data, without cookies, through Cloudflare Web Analytics — details, and how to turn it off, in the usage measurement section below.

Cookies and local storage

The site embeds no advertising tools and uses no tracking or advertising cookies. Fonts and libraries are served from this site, not from external networks. The only external script loaded is Cloudflare's usage measurement, described in the next section — and it sets no cookies. Because nothing on the site sets non-essential cookies or tracks you across sites, there is no cookie banner; usage measurement can be turned off at any time with the switch in the next section.

Local storage: a11y-prefs — keeps the accessibility settings you chose (text size, contrast and so on) so they survive between visits. fooks_analytics — created only if you turn usage measurement off, holding the value off so the choice is respected on later visits; turning measurement back on deletes it. Both stay in your browser, never leave your device, and are kept until you delete them — clearing site data removes both.

The CDN (Cloudflare) may set strictly necessary operational cookies for security purposes only.

Usage measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To understand which pages help visitors and how the site performs, the site loads Cloudflare Web Analytics — a Cloudflare measurement service that uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It gives us aggregated data only: which pages were viewed, which site referred you, country, device and browser type, and page-load performance metrics.

Like any network request, the request to the service exposes your IP address to Cloudflare. According to Cloudflare, the service does not use it, or any other data, to identify visitors or follow them across visits and sites. The reports we receive contain no IP addresses, and we build no profile of any individual visitor.

Measurement is on by default, on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving how the site is used, and you can turn it off at any time with the switch below. The choice is saved in this browser only (in the fooks_analytics item), so another browser or device needs to be switched off separately. It takes effect immediately (the page reloads), and from then on the script is not loaded at all. If your browser blocks local storage, the site cannot read the choice and measurement — which uses no cookies — loads as usual; in that case you can block static.cloudflareinsights.com with a content blocker.

Use and disclosure

Contact-form submissions reach our mailbox through a mail relay we operate (behore.co.il). They are not sold, rented or passed to third parties for marketing. Information is disclosed only as needed to answer your enquiry, where required by law, or to the technical providers essential to running the site (hosting, CDN, usage measurement, email). Cloudflare provides both the site's CDN and its usage measurement.

Security and retention

The site is served over encrypted HTTPS and hosted on secured infrastructure. We take reasonable and accepted measures to protect the information, though no system can be guaranteed immune to unauthorised access.

Enquiry details are kept for as long as they are needed to handle the enquiry and manage the business relationship, or as the law requires.

Legal bases for processing

Answering an enquiry you initiated — steps taken at your request prior to a contract. Server and security logs — our legitimate interest in protecting the site. Aggregated usage measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics) — our legitimate interest in understanding and improving how the site is used, which you can switch off at any time. Keeping enquiry records beyond day-to-day handling — legal obligation, where one applies. We do not process data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Your rights

Under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law you may inspect the information held about you and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Write to [email protected] or call 053-5240892 and we will handle the request promptly.

Visitors in the EU: under the GDPR you also have the rights to data portability, to restriction of processing and to object to it, and the right to complain to the supervisory authority where you live. The same email address is enough to exercise any of them.
